This protocol was signed during the fifth meeting of Turkey-Azerbaijan High Level Strategic Cooperation Council.
As part of the signed document, Turkey undertakes the obligation to ensure financing of Baku Coordination Office of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA).
The protocol also provides for the preparation of technical assistance, the implementation of educational programs.
The protocol was signed for a period of five years, with the possibility of extension for the same period.

Turkish government has ratified a protocol for the development of socio-economic relations and the intensification of ties through technical cooperation with Azerbaijan, the Turkish Official Gazette (Resmi Gazete) website reported Jan. 24.
