Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan’s admitting heavy losses of the Armenian Armed Forces creates the impression that he hasn’t completely lost the sense of reality yet and shows that he fears the Azerbaijani side.
Press service of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said, while answering the question on Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan’s threatening Azerbaijan with military operations.
The Defense Ministry said that the retaliatory measures carried out by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces in January to prevent sabotages of invaders were pernicious and consistent, and once again proved high fighting spirit of Azerbaijani soldiers, their will to victory and weapon power.
“As Azerbaijani Armed Forces have the authority to deploy, move and use any military forces in the right direction from the tactical and operational point of view, any comment by the enemy state on this issue is quite unacceptable and strongly rejected by us”, said the Defense Ministry.
The Defense Ministry says that the military and political leadership of Armenia, which still lives with empty dreams and memories, should accept today`s reality and the requirements of decisions and resolutions adopted by international organizations in accordance with the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, and understand that the danger of destroying is waiting for the invaders at every step.
The Defense Ministry also reiterates that the Azerbaijani Armed Forces will fight until the last drop of their blood to restore its territorial integrity and hoist the Azerbaijani flag in all its occupied territories, including Shusha, Khankandi. Any provocation planned by the invaders will be prevented immediately, and criminal Armenian military and political regime will bear full responsibility for the consequences of this.
“Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan’s threatening and irresponsible statements against Azerbaijan are not accidental in the background of the current public protests that have risen to the point of tense socio-political and social explosion in the neighboring country. The Armenian leadership, which doomed its people to a miserable condition and was isolated from the international projects because of the occupation of Azerbaijani lands, makes such statements in order to distract the Armenians’ attention from the internal chaos,” the statement said.
