Azerbaijan-AJC cooperation will further develop - Nazim Ibrahimov
Chairman of the State Committee of Azerbaijan on Work with Diaspora Nazim Ibrahimov on Monday received a delegation led by Executive Director of the American Jewish Committee (AJC) David Harris and AJC President John Shapiro.
Highlighting the importance of Azerbaijan-AJC cooperation, established a few years ago, Ibrahimov said this cooperation will further develop.

According to him, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s receiving David Harris during every visit shows that the head of state attaches great importance to the development of Azerbaijan-AJC cooperation.

“Azerbaijan attaches great importance to the establishment of a close relationship with the all the Jewish communities around the world. From this perspective, the AJC has a special role,” Ibrahimov added.

David Harris in turn said it is his first visit to Azerbaijan following the presidential election in the US. “The AJC favors the development of Azerbaijan-US ties,” he added.

The AJC executive director highly appreciated the visit of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Azerbaijan that took place in December last year.
