The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is closely following media reports in this regard, Ilaha Huseynova, head of the Communication Department of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), said in a statement to AzVision.az when asked to comment on reports concerning Azerbaijani citizen Elnur Huseynzade.
She said the ICRC is willing to pay the detainee (Elnur) a visit in accordance with its mandate in order to monitor the detention conditions and treatment towards him in case the information is verified.
