The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will visit Brussels, AzVision.az reports citing Politico.
`The purpose of the visit is to discuss the terms of a new agreement on partnership relations. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev will meet the President of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker`, the source reads.
The publication also reads that establishing good relations with Azerbaijan is important for the European Union, seeking to reduce its gas dependence from Russia. It is expected that the European Union will receive 10 billion cubic meters of gas via the Southern Gas Corridor passing through Georgia, Turkey, Albania and Italy.
