“Pakistan’s president and prime minister visited Azerbaijan in 2015 and 2016 respectively. And this year Azerbaijan’s president will pay a visit to Pakistan,” he said.
The ambassador noted that Pakistan will continue to support Azerbaijan’s position in regard to the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
He recalled that on Feb. 3, the Pakistani parliament passed a resolution condemning the Armenian occupation and the Khojaly genocide.
“The resolution reaffirms Pakistan’s support for the territorial integrity and internationally recognized borders of Azerbaijan. The resolution also urges Armenia to unconditionally release the territories it has occupied and expresses support for the peaceful settlement of the conflict,” the ambassador added.
