Mr. Trump has faced criticism from the right and the left for saying the U.S. has a lot of “killers” as well, after Fox News host Bill O’Reilly called Mr. Putin a “killer” in a recent interview with the president.
“What, you think our country is so innocent?” Mr. Trump said.
