Israeli Air Force helicopter attacks Syrian Army facility in Golan Heights
An Israeli Air Force helicopter targeted a Syrian Army base located in the city of Al-Baath, which lies in the Golan Heights near the Israeli border, Al-Mayadeen TV channel reported on Thursday, as cited by RIA Novosti.
No injuries have been reported so far, but the facility was damaged in the airstrike. A local source told the TV channel that Syrian soldiers stationed in Al-Baath are fighting Al-Nusra Front militants in the area. The Israeli Defense Force said in a statement posted on Twitter that the attack “targeted a post belonging to the Syrian regime” after a tank round was fired from Syria.
