Guliyev’s attorney Arkadi Israelyan said they appealed against the “verdict” of the first instance court, as his defendant pleaded not guilty.
Asgarov’s attorney Erik Beglaryan said that his defendant also appealed over pleading not guilty.
In July 2014, Dilgam Asgarov and Shahbaz Guliyev were taken hostage by Armenian armed units while going to visit the graves of their parents in occupied Kalbajar district, and Hasan Hasanov was killed.
