Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev received a delegation led by Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff Joseph Dunford on Feb. 16.
The sides emphasized that bilateral ties are successfully developing in the military, political, economic, energy security, defense and security areas, APA reported.
Dunford praised Azerbaijan’s participation in international peacekeeping operations and thanked the Azerbaijani side for making significant contributions to freight transport.
During the talk, Dunford expressed confidence that his visit to Azerbaijan will contribute to further strengthening the cooperation in the defense area and developing bilateral friendly relations.
