The recall includes C-Class, E-class, CLA models, and certain GLA and GLC SUVs produced between 2015 and 2017.
Customers will be notified this month of the recall and dealers will install replacement parts free of charge, the reports said.
Mercedes reported 51 fires in its vehicles worldwide, while about 30 have been in the U.S.
The company has no reports of any injuries from the fires.
