Asadov reminded that Mehriban Aliyeva was the initiator of four amnesty acts, through which tens of thousands of people were freed.
“Mehriban Aliyeva makes a significant contribution to the development of the parliament’s international relations, worthily represents the Azerbaijani people on international arena and brings the truth about the Azerbaijani people to the world community,” he said.
He noted that Mehriban Aliyeva is also well-known for her social and charitable activities.
Asadov said appointment of Mehriban Aliyeva as the first vice-president will bring a new wind to Azerbaijan’s socio-political life.
