Guliyev warmly congratulated Mehriban Aliyeva on her appointment as first vice-president and wished her success in such an important and responsible position.
He said it is no coincidence that Mehriban Aliyeva’s appointment was approved both by Azerbaijani citizens and the international community – she earned great respect in Azerbaijan as well as abroad by her socio-political and international activities.
Azay Guliyev also reminded that thanks to Mehriban Aliyeva, ancient art of mugham is now experiencing revival and is being protected by UNESCO as a masterpiece of the oral heritage of humanity.
He expressed deep gratitude to First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva for what she has done for Azerbaijan and for her tireless work in the name of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijani people.
