Washing machine with special curry button launched in India
A washing machine designed to tackle hard to remove stains like curry and oil has been launched specifically for the Indian market.
Panasonic India (PI) unveiled a new line of air conditioners and washing machines earlier this year, which included the StainMaster.

The company told the BBC it took two years to develop the product following analysis to find the optimal time and temperature to remove stains like curry.

They added the product was a response to high demand from consumers finding it difficult to eliminate tough stains.

Other cycles on the machine designed for the Asian market includes 'daily sari', 'collar/cuff' and additional modes to tackle stains such as sweat and sauces.

The Japanese electronics company said its aim was to “develop products that meet the country's needs and expand its market reach and market share”.

PI added its aim was to “respond to local needs for better washing performance”.
