According to him, traditional religions are faced with common challenges and extremism.
He noted that these serious challenges can only be eliminated through joint efforts.
“Militants in the Middle East and other parts of the world use Islamic slogans, trying to create some conflict between Muslims and followers of other religions. There is no terrorism in religion. No religion enjoins the killing of people. The Russian Orthodox Church is in active dialogue with Muslims. Azerbaijan is a good example for the harmonic coexistence of various religions,” added Archimandrite Philaret.
