`Armenians pulled unborn baby out of woman`s womb and made her eat it `
“The resettlement of Armenians to the Southern Caucasus violated the stability”, the director of the Institute of History of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), MP Yagub Mahmudov made statement at the event dedicated to the 31 March – Genocide Day of Azerbaijanis, AzVision.az reports.
“The powers that carried out the resettlement of Armenians to the Caucasus constantly supported them. It leads to the escalation of the tension in the Southern Caucasus “, he stated.

“A matter of life or death for Azerbaijani people was solved in 1918. At that time, the establishment plan of Armenia had been implemented in Azerbaijan. Those who don't know history are doomed to repeat it. We know our history. How many times could the Alphabet of the country be changed in order to deprive the people of their language? How many times could the culture be changed? However, no one can destroy us as a nation”, he noted.

“Armenian crimes defame the world history. They pulled the unborn baby out of mother`s womb and made her eat it. Have you ever come across with this kind of crime anywhere?”, he said while speaking about the terrible Armenian crimes.

Ombudsperson Elmira Suleymanova noted that 31 March Genocide against Azerbaijanis was not evaluated legally at the international level.

“The decree issued by President Heydar Aliyev "On Genocide of Azerbaijanis" on March 26, 1998 officially declared the genocide against Azerbaijanis for the first time by evaluating those events politically. At the same time, every year 31 March - Day of Azerbaijanis' Genocide is commemorated at state level. Beginning from the first half of the XIX century thousands of Armenian residents of Iran and Turkey were resettled into Azerbaijan and located in the historical Azerbaijani territories - Karabakh, Nakhchivan, Zengezur, Iravan and other regions. Armenian nationalists and their adherents had pursued policy of genocide, ethnic cleansing and deportation against Azerbaijanis for more than two centuries. Their main purpose was to expel Azerbaijanis from their historic lands and establish `Great Armenia` in these territories.

" One of these atrocious crimes was the March Genocide committed by the Armenians against the Azerbaijanis on March 31, 1918. The genocide distinguished with its bitter fruits with other massacres. Using the two Russian revolutions in 1917, Armenians succeed to realize their heinous claims under the flag of Bolsheviks. Starting 1918 March, the Armenian patriots killed and burned peaceful Azerbaijani people just because of their national identity. Besides, Armenian vandals destroyed Azerbaijan’s rare historical monuments, hospitals, schools and mosques ", the ombudsman added.

The acts of genocide of Azerbaijanis mainly committed in Baku, Shamakhi, Guba, Kurdamir, Salyan, Karabakh, Zangezur, Nakhchivan and Lankaran provinces with special cruelty. During March events, 75 villages of Shamakhi were totally destroyed and 7000 people killed.
