"We feel the sincerity, hospitality of Azerbaijanis. Five documents, contracts, and interdepartmental agreements have been prepared. These documents will be signed with our participation.
These documents, which are a new stage in our relations in recent years, will solve issues of cooperation in the economic and financial spheres," President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev said this during the meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in an expanded format, AzVision.az reports.
"All the relations in all directions are taken into account in the declaration prepared for signing. We specified that in the next two or three years there will be an opportunity to sharply increase the turnover several times. The documents, the relevant agreements to be signed between the agencies, in particular between the transport-communication ministries, promise great benefits for both states. As for other issues—both economic and political—as well as cultural and humanitarian issues, we need to pay attention to the issues of admission of young people to the relevant universities of our countries, cultural relations, meetings of intellectuals, restoration of mutual days of culture of two countries. To this end, there are good opportunities, which is a kind of bridge,” the Kazakh president said.
N.Nazarbayev noted that 130,000 ethnic Azerbaijanis live in Kazakhstan.
"They are our citizens who are actively involved in all matters. This is a good bridge for our trade ties. I know that they are the ones who open joint ventures, build businesses and help improve our relations. I think that we should support this. We also talked about the specifics. Specificity means a basis, an economy. Economic relations and trade is not at the level of our interests, and today we will talk about this. We see how this should be done," Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
