France will continue to actively work on Karabakh conflict settlement - Hollande
French President François Hollande has sent a letter to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
“On February 21, France and Azerbaijan celebrated the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. I’m delighted that over the past 25 years our countries have built a solid relationship that has continued to grow and diversify. I had the opportunity to observe it during my visits to Azerbaijan in May 2014 and April 2015,” Hollande told President Aliyev in his letter.

“The intensity of our political dialogue, the vitality of our economic and commercial exchanges and the accomplishments in the academic and cultural fields, such as French-Azerbaijani University, reflect the dynamism and potential of our relations in all fields,” the French president said. “I hope that our countries will be able to pursue this path and further strengthen their relations in order to build a true partnership.”

“Rest assured that France, within the co-chairmanship of the Minsk Group, will continue to actively work and remain fully committed to ensuring that a negotiated and lasting solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is finally achieved for the benefit of the entire region,” Hollande noted in his letter.
