Korb made the remarks following the third meeting of the Estonia-Azerbaijan Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation.
He added that the prospects for cooperation in e-citizenship have become one of the key topics while discussing the development of IT cooperation with the Azerbaijani side.
“We shared our experience in introducing e-residence and e-citizenship services,” Korb said. “These mean that a person can become a resident of Estonia regardless of their location and fully use the services of the Estonian government, for example, while making banking transactions, delivering bank documents, etc. I see that there is a plan to introduce a similar service in Azerbaijan.”
