Azerbaijan, Russia discuss prospects for mutually beneficial security co-op
Chief of Azerbaijan’s State Security Service Lieutenant-General Madat Guliyev on Tuesday met with a delegation led by Nikolai Patrushev, Secretary of the Russian Security Council.
The sides exchanged views on the prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation in the security field, the State Security Service told AzVision.az.

Madat Guliyev provided the Russian delegation with detailed information about the reforms being carried out in Azerbaijan in the field of state-building and law-enforcement, the country’s’ socio-economic development and measures being taken to strengthen security and stability, which are the key to development.

In his turn, Patrushev underlined the importance of expanding the cooperation between the relevant authorities of Russia and Azerbaijan in the fight against threats in order to create favorable conditions for the successful stability, security and development policies carried out under the two countries’ leadership.
