500,000 French voters registered twice on electoral roll - Le Monde
Half a million French voters have been registered to vote in two or more different places, due to changes of residence, or local administrative inefficiencies, Le Monde newspaper reports, saying that similar problems have plagued previous ballots.
Most adults are unlikely to vote twice, often in different parts of the country, but the errors could skew the turnout statistics. A unified digital voter database is due to be introduced in 2019.
