Azerbaijan already become energy exporting country – president

“We used to import energy, but now we have already started to export it, built nearly 30 power stations. This is the first condition for the development. Without energy, no enterprise may be created”, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said at the republican conference of non-oil exporters in Yevlakh.
The head of state noted that on the other hand, infrastructural projects are social: “Because every state must provide the citizens with uninterrupted energy. We achieved it. We remember previous years. Energy supply was often interrupting even in Baku. Today, we provided sustainable energy supply. Energy infrastructure is still being renewed. But we can say that major part of these works has already been done”.
