Over 20 Azerbaijani companies to present products in Kazakhstan
More than 20 Azerbaijani export companies producing fruit juices, mineral waters, wine and cognac, fresh fruits and vegetables, therapeutic herbal teas will present the products as part of the trade missions in Kazakhstan, the Azerbaijani embassy in Kazakhstan said Apr. 18.
Azerbaijani producers will present the products within the trade missions in Almaty and Astana on April 23-26.

The trade missions have been organized by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economy and the Azerbaijan Export and Investments Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) with the support of the Azerbaijani embassy in Kazakhstan.

The trade mission includes the representatives of the companies producing building materials, street and park furniture.

The main goal of the trade mission is to strengthen and intensify the bilateral trade and economic cooperation of business circles, as well as review the commercial potential of Azerbaijan.

"Geographically Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are near,” Azerbaijani ambassador to Kazakhstan Rashad Mammadov said in an interview with Trend earlier. “Azerbaijan mainly exports the petroleum engineering machinery to Kazakhstan.”

According to the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan amounted to nearly $124.4 million in 2016, over $26 million of which accounted for the export to Kazakhstan.
