Official Syrian media outlets reported that UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres sent a congratulatory message to Assad in honor of Syria’s Independence Day last week, JerusalemOnline reports.
The UN Secretary General wrote that he hopes that there will be peace throughout the world and that Syria will advance and develop. He added that he hopes that Syria will take part in a peace process and to grant rights to all of the citizens in the country.
