Azerbaijani Delegation to PACE opposes call to reopen monitoring procedure in respect of Turkey
The report, titled “The functioning of democratic institutions in Turkey”, was discussed at the plenary session of the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly (PACE) spring session on Tuesday.
Speaking at the discussions, the head of the Azerbaijani Delegation to PACE, Samad Seyidov, stressed the need to help Turkey in its hard times, APA reports.

“In the current difficult period of Turkey, there is no need to reopen monitoring procedure in respect of this country, which is one of the founders of the Council of Europe, on the contrary, we need to help it,” he noted.
