Magnitude 6.2 earthquake hits Alaska - US Geological Survey
A 6.2-magnitude earthquake hits Alaska on the border with Canada, the US Geological Survey reported Monday.
The tremor took place 88 kilometers (54.6 miles) to the north-west of Skagway at 12:30 GMT. The epicenter of the quake was located at the depth of 2.2 kilometers.

​There have been no reports of destruction or casualties caused by the tremor so far.
