Russian scientist's Khojaly genocide petition receives more than 15,000 signatures
A petition by Russian historian and political analyst Oleg Kuznetsov calling on State Duma to recognize Khojaly genocide has already been signed by 15,000 people, according to chairman of the Milli Majlis Committee on Regional Issues Arif Rahimzade. He said the petition needs to gather a total of 25,000 signatures to provoke a response.
The petition urges the recognition of Khojaly tragedy as a crime of genocide. It says the atrocities against civilians in Khojaly were committed by the incumbent leadership of Armenia.

Rahimzade said that a number of countries around the world have recognized Khojaly tragedy as a genocidal act.
