Azerbaijan valuable partner of NATO - Tacan Ildem

Azerbaijan valuable partner of NATO - Tacan Ildem

zerbaijan is an important partner of NATO and the Alliance highly appreciates Azerbaijan’s support to the mission in Afghanistan, NATO Assistant Secretary General for Public Diplomacy Tacan Ildem told a press conference in Baku.

Azerbaijan does not only participate in the peacekeeping mission in Afghanistan, but also renders assistance to the country’s trust fund, he said May 4.

Ildem noted the significance of cooperation within the Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP).

Azerbaijan and NATO also cooperate within the Partnership for Peace program.

In 2017, NATO will continue to work with Azerbaijan to clean territories of mines and unexploded ordnance within the Jeyranchel program.
