Mr Cekuta said he was “deeply honored by President Obama`s decision to nominate me to serve in Azerbaijan”.
The Ambassador said “since Azerbaijan`s independence in 1991 our countries have built a strong partnership”. “Regional security and economic growth, especially youth employment, are two top priorities in our relationship. The third is democratic development. All three are key to Azerbaijan`s stability and essential aspects of our bilateral ties,” he said.
“As Ambassador I look forward to working with all Azerbaijanis to move on these priorities and deepen and broaden our people-to-people ties,” Mr Cekuta said.
