`Iran hopeful for speedy resolution to Nagorno-Karabakh conflict`
"Iran pursues a principled policy toward a peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict", Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mohsen Pak Ayeen said at the official reception in Baku on the 36th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution of Iran.
He said that Iran is hoping for a speedy resolution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

According to the ambassador, the Islamic Revolution has been the biggest revolution in the modern world and is the result of a long struggle of the Iranian people.

“Iran has developed a nuclear program for peaceful purposes, launched a satellite into space and strengthened its military capabilities. All this happened after the imposition of illegal sanctions against Iran”, he noted.

The diplomat said that Iran and Azerbaijan have strategic relations which have been further developed following the mutual visits of both countries’ leaders.

Making a speech at the reception, Azerbaijani Minister of Economy and Industry Shahin Mustafayev congratulated the Iranian people on behalf of the Azerbaijani government.
