He noted that the semi-submersible drilling plant named after Heydar Aliyev will operate in Absheron gas and condensate field: “I’m sure we’ll have good results from Absheron in several years. Other prospectus projects are also on the agenda. Umid field is being developed. Foreign companies are interested in
Babek and Garabagh fields. We had signed a contract, but it was terminated. However, we know and foreign partners see that Garabagh field has large volume of reserves. That’s why we are carrying these works one by one in order to make our country stronger and get more revenues”.
The president said that oil projects are being successfully developed: “Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan has been operating for 11 years. SGC is being implemented successfully. I’m sure we’ll achieve timely implementation of this project. We must celebrate launch of
TANAP, which is a part of the SGC, next year. I’m sure we’ll achieve it”.
