"We are making good progress. Azerbaijan is a young and dynamic country. The country has great potential for development. I think that this country has great potential in the areas of agriculture and tourism and is yet to be discovered by investors and tourists. Romanian investors are seeking to expand relations with Azerbaijan, which is a large and dynamic market in the region and has 10 million consumers,” he said.
He noted that holding a meeting of the intergovernmental commission is on his agenda.
"The last meeting took place in 2009. Last year’s trade turnover between the two countries amounted to 170 million dollars, a large portion of which came from the oil sector. We want to develop other areas as well,” he said.
