"We are in favor of holding of a peace platform between Armenia and Azerbaijan at the European Parliament and other international organizations. We are raising this issue at the European Parliament, during meetings with the organization’s delegation, and at other international organizations,” Samad Seyidov, chairman of the parliamentary committee on international and inter-parliamentary relations, told a briefing with the European Parliament delegation held in the Azerbaijani parliament.
He noted that these relations must be mutual.
"Azerbaijan is ready for negotiations. However, the readiness of the other side is in question. I believe open and free relations between the committees will contribute to the development of relations between the Azerbaijani parliament and European Parliament, and will also play a big role in conveying to European society the realities about the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict,” he said.
