27 Azerbaijani children are in Armenian captivity
Although Azerbaijani children are fully provided with state care, unfortunately some of them – refugee and IDP children are still not able to live freely and safely in their native lands, the Chairwoman of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs said addressing a meeting of the PACE Committee on Social Affairs, Health and Sustainable Development in Baku June 1, AzVision.az reports.
`These rights cannot be denied by anyone and the international community recognizes territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. However, by violating the rights of Azerbaijani children, displacing them from their native lands, the Republic of Armenia ignores requirements of international norms. During the armed conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan 193 children were murdered and hundreds of children wounded`, she said.

Hicran Huseynova said, the Government of Azerbaijan has managed to release 210 children from Armenian captivity.

`61 children went missing and 27 are still in captivity. Despite of the ceasefire announcement in 1994, Armenians continue killing Azerbaijani children. Since, 32 children have become victims of Armenian terrorism. 13 of them were killed and 19 injured`.
