Special Representative: NATO to condemn displacement of the border of Georgia
Special Representative of the Secretary General of NATO in the South Caucasus and Central Asia James Appathurai sure that the North Atlantic Council will condemn the situation on the line of occupation.
According to him, the visit of the North Atlantic Council will be held in a few weeks.

"The Council wants to come and see coexistence, and make sure that all parties agree on those main elements that need to be done," - said Appathurai.

Appathurai also said that he was aware of the statements of the prime minister and the government that the trials would be free from political pressure.

According to him, there should not even be a suspicion of political persecution, as it will harm to Georgia.

"The North Atlantic Council will confirm once again its commitment to Georgia`s Euro-Atlantic aspirations and its territorial integrity, which is also covered non-recognition policy in itself. I am sure that Council will condemn the situation on the line of occupation. According to our opinion, the displacement of the border, as U.S. and European Union said, is illegal and a delict of the agreement, adopted in 2008, "- Appathurai said at a press conference on Monday.
