There is an effective mechanism against corruption - Prosecutor General

“The Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) is a bridge which brings different cultures together. Azerbaijan actively participates in the events within the ECO. It was twice elected as the chair of the ECO”, Zakir Garalov, the Prosecutor General said at the 3rd Meeting of Heads of Anti-Corruption Organizations and Ombudsmen of the ECO Member States.
“Azerbaijan joined all the international conventions in fight against corruption. Furthermore, the legislation was developed in this field and practical mechanism has been established. Three National Anti-Corruption Action Plans were completely accomplished. Commission on Combating corruption and Anti-Corruption Department under General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan successfully operates in this field. I would like to highlight the role of “ASAN Service” in the implementation of anti- corruption measures. "ASAN Service” is internationally suggested as an example to other countries. I can say for sure that there is an effective mechanism for fighting corruption in Azerbaijan”, Garalov added.
