Azerbaijan, Iran agree to expand cooperation between law-enforcement and justice bodies
Azerbaijan and Iran have agreed to expand cooperation between law-enforcement and justice bodies as Prosecutor General Zakir Garalov met with Head of Iran's General Inspection Organization Nasser Seraj on the sidelines of the 3rd Meeting of Heads of Anti-Corruption Organizations and Ombudsmen of ECO Member States in Baku.
They pointed out prospects for coordinating joint efforts in the fields of legal support and extradition affairs, as well as fight against terrorism and drug trafficking.

Garalov said that thanks to President Ilham Aliyev’s policy Azerbaijan is making a considerable contribution to cooperation in the Islamic world. He provided an insight into comprehensive reforms to modernize the court and legal systems in Azerbaijan. The Prosecutor General also told about activity of Anti-Corruption General Directorate.
