A 489-member operational team and 136-member administrative staff, 6 mine clearing vehicles and 34 mine-detection dogs were involved in the operations.
Some 402,398,761 sq m area has been cleared of mines and UXOs by ANAMA up to now. 761,984 mines and UXOs have been disarmed.
Throughout May 2017, the agency carried out mine clearing operations in Absheron, Aghdam, Aghjabedi, Aghstafa, Jabrayil, Fuzuli, Ganja, Terter, Gabala, Mingachevir, Siyazan, as well as in Guzdek settlement of Garadagh district.
No mine/UXO incident was recorded last month.

In May 2017, Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) inspected 1,633,964 sq m area, disarming 499 unexploded ordinances (UXO), 81 anti-tank mines and 16 antipersonnel mines, ANAMA told reporters.
