Iranian ambassador to Azerbaijan says killing of two years old Zahra by Armenians is crime
We mostly feel pity for the murder of a child in the recent incident, and this is a crime, said Iranian ambassador to Azerbaijan Javad Jahangirzadeh while commenting on killing of a woman and his granddaughter as a result of shelling of Fuzuli district’s Alkhanli village by Armenian Armed Units, Azvision.az reports citing APA.
The ambassador said that such incidents complicate the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict: “Azerbaijan is a friendly and fraternal country to us. We feel very sorry for the incident. The OSCE Minsk Group which deals with settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict should fulfill its mission.”

Jahangirzadeh said that Iran worked hard to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict during the reign of Heydar Aliyev, but it was impossible. “Iran supports a political solution to the conflict. A war in the region is directed against each country’s citizens. When there is peace, stability and no interference of external forces in the region, then it can blossom. Tomorrow, thousands of children and women can be killed. Therefore, the OSCE Minsk Group should fulfill its mission. Iran always stands ready to contribute to the settlement of the conflict”, said the ambassador.

On July 4, around 20:40, Armenian Armed Forces shelled the Alkhanly village of Fuzuli region with 82mm- and 120-mm-caliber mortars, including heavy grenade launchers.

As a result of this provocation, village residents Allahverdiyeva Sahibe Idris gizi (1966) and Guliyeva Zahra Elnur gizi (2016) died. Guliyeva Sarvinaz Iltifat gizi (1965) was wounded.
