Anti-Azerbaijani resolution rejected by OSCE PA
Yesterday the OSCE PA General Assembly on Democracy, Human Rights and Humanitarian Affairs discussed the Swedish MP's anti-Azerbaijani draft resolution and proposed to a plenary session. Today, at the plenary session of the 26th summer session of the OSCE PA in Minsk, the unilateral and biased resolution was rejected with great majority of votes.
The representatives of Azerbaijan, Russia and Switzerland severely criticized the resolution prepared by Swedish lawmaker Christian Holm-Barenfeld.Then the resolution was rejected.

"It is the result of the hard work carried out by Azerbaijani delegation", Azay Guliyev, member of the Azerbaijani parliament, OSCE PA Vice President wrote on his Twitter account, AzVision.az reports. He thanked to all his counterparts.



The resolution on situation in the Eastern Europe was about "Detoriariton of democratic development in Russia, Belarus and Azerbaijan,human rights violations, as well as, concerns about pressure on civil society, journalists and other human rights defenders".
