The issue was raised by head of the Azerbaijani delegation to OSCE PA, Bahar Muradova.
Ms. Muradova recalled Baku Declaration adopted at the 23rd session of OSCE PA, stressing the importance of the implementation of this document in terms of ensuring security in the OSCE region.
Ms Muradova noted that Azerbaijanis Asgarov and Guliyev were taken captive when they attempted to visit the graves of their relatives in Kalbajar.
Ms Muradova asked a question to Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic, who chairs the OSCE PA: "What can you do for ensuring the release of the Azerbaijani captives as the Chairman of the OSCE PA. What sanctions can be imposed on the separatists who have violated the rights of Azerbaijanis to visit their homes?" she added.
The OSCE Chairman, Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic said he would pay a visit to the region during his tenure. Mr Dacic said the Nagorno-Karabakh issue should be in the focus. The Chairman added he would try to ensure that the Minsk Group, which mediates the Armenian-Azerbaijani dispute, increases its activity.
