Australian police detain at least four people in Sydney during anti-terror raids
At least four people were detained on Saturday in a set of counter-terror raids conducted in Australia's city of Sydney, the Australian Federal Police and the New South Wales Police Force said in a joint statement.
According to Australia's National Terrorism Threat Advisory System, the current threat level is estimated as "probable," which means that certain individuals or groups could carry out violent terrorist actions in the country.

"The New South Wales Joint Counter Terrorism Team (JCTT) has conducted multiple searches across Sydney today, resulting in the arrest of four men. Four men have been taken into custody and are assisting police with their enquiries," the statement said.

The statement added that the searches were carried out at Sydney's suburbs of Lakemba, Surry Hills, Wiley Park and Punchbowl, while the investigation was still ongoing.
