EU allocates € 13.5M to Azerbaijan’s Lankaran

EU allocates € 13.5M to Azerbaijan’s Lankaran

The European Union has allocated € 13.5 million for the development of Azerbaijan’s Lankaran region.

The aim of the new aid package is to support the country's economic diversification policy through rural and regional development, APA reports citing to EU’s website.

Lankaran is one of the regions with lowest per capita investment and income, but at the same time it has a great potential in the field of horticulture. The purpose of the program is to increase competitiveness of the region, to ensure sustainable development in the field of fruit and vegetable.
