Second Saudi prince passes away this August
Sudden deaths are occurring one after another in Saudi Arabia's large royal family. Saudi Prince Bandar bin Fahd bin Saad bin Abdulrahman Al Saud has passed away, the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported Thursday, citing the Royal Court. The cause of death is unknown.
In a statement, the Royal Court said the funeral prayers will be performed on the 17th of August. The ceremony will take place at Imam Turki bin Abdullah mosque in Riyadh.

Earlier this month, Saudi Prince Salman bin Saad bin Abdullah bin Turki Al Saud died from a heart attack, reports RIA Novosti, citing Eremnews. He was only 26 years old.

King Salman's brother, Prince Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, passed away last month at the age of 86. He was a member of the Sudairi Seven, a once-powerful alliance of seven full brothers, sons of King Abdulaziz 'Ibn Saud' and his wife Hussa Sudairi.

There are 25,000 members of the Saudi Arabian royal family, including approximately 7,000 princes.

The current Crown Prince, who is stated to inherit the throne, is Mohammad bin Salman, the son of King Salman. This is the first time since 1953 when a king's son has inherited the throne.
