Georgia supports peaceful resolution of all conflicts – FM
Georgia is in favor of a peaceful resolution of all conflicts within the framework of the principle of territorial integrity, the country’s foreign minister, Mikheil Janelidze, said at a press conference following the sixth meeting with his Azerbaijani and Turkish counterparts in Baku.
Janelidze stressed the need to intensify efforts towards the settlement of the ongoing conflicts in Azerbaijan and Georgia.

Janelidze hailed the tripartite format of talks between the Azerbaijani, Georgian and Turkish foreign ministers.

“This is a unique mechanism of cooperation. This year marked the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the three countries. We have achieved the establishment of exemplary political, trade, economic and inter-human ties,” the minister said, adding. “Our joint projects serve the interests of not only the three countries. Major transport and energy projects being implemented by the three countries promote the stability and development of the region.”

Janelidze said the three countries look forward to the opening of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway.
