“We are interested in easing the tension on a global scale and pleased to host such important talks for the second time,” said President Aliyev.
He stressed that these talks are an indicator of confidence in Azerbaijan as well as good bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Russia.
The president hailed the successful cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia in military and military-technical fields, as well as in all other spheres.
The Azerbaijani leader expressed his confidence that military and military-technical cooperation between the two countries will continue to develop successfully. Valery Gerasimov, in turn, said that Russia and Azerbaijan successfully cooperate in all spheres, including military and military-technical fields. Hailing traditionally friendly relations between the two countries, he said that Azerbaijan is a strategic partner of Russia.
Touching upon the last International Army Games, Gerasimov noted with satisfaction that if the Azerbaijani team took part in two games last year, this year it participated in five games, and Azerbaijan became an organizer of one of these events.
