Azerbaijani president receives OSCE PA chairperson
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev received Chairperson of OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Kristin Muttonen on Sept.8, AzVision.az reported.
The OSCE attaches great importance to cooperation with Azerbaijan, said Muttonen, stressing the organization’s representative in Azerbaijan spares no efforts to develop this cooperation, AzVision.az reported.

She noted that the Azerbaijani delegation to the OSCE PA is working actively, putting forward significant initiatives and resolutions.

Talking about the initiatives and projects recently implemented in Azerbaijan, President Aliyev noted that this, at the same time, contributes to international cooperation.

Azerbaijan has already turned into a center of multiculturalism and intercultural dialogue, the president said, adding that large events with the participation of various international organizations are regularly held in Azerbaijan.

Touching upon the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, President Aliyev emphasized that Azerbaijani spares no effort for a just and peaceful solution to this conflict through negotiations. He noted that Armenia is interested in delaying the negotiation process.

President Aliyev also expressed his confidence that the OSCE PA president’s visit to Azerbaijan will be successful and fruitful.

The sides also exchanged views on the negotiation process over the settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
