Ilham Aliyev extends condolences to Mexican President

Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev has sent a letter of condolence to Mr Enrique Pena Nieto, President of the Mexican United States.

“We were deeply saddened by the news of heavy casualties and injuries as a result of a strong quake that hit your country,” Ilham Aliyev said in his letter.

On behalf of the people of Azerbaijan and on my own behalf, I extend my deepest condolences to you, the bereaved families and loved ones of those who died and the whole people of Mexico, and wish the injured the swiftest possible recovery,” President Aliyev added.
