Number of IDP children studying in Azerbaijan’s military schools increases
The number of refugee and IDP children studying in military schools in Azerbaijan has increased 30 times over the past five years, Ali Hasanov, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and IDPs, said on Thursday.
Hasanov made the remarks at the presentation of a book and a film dedicated to the village of Jojug Marjanli, which was liberated from Armenian occupation.

He reminded that five years ago, a meeting on involvement of IDP children in military education was held under the instruction of President Ilham Aliyev.

“The result of this meeting is already known. I would like to note that most of those who fought for the liberation of our lands in last year’s April. Today, commanders of all three military formations on the frontline are internally displaced,” Hasanov added.
