Azerbaijan preparing for Eastern Partnership summit - deputy FM
Azerbaijan is preparing for the upcoming Eastern Partnership summit, said Deputy Foreign Minister Mahmud Mammad-Guliyev.
The deputy minister said during the summit to be held in November in Brussels the work done in the last two years will be discussed.

"We will have things to say because we've achieved good results in a few years. First of all, we will try to make sure the Riga Summit is not repeated at this summit. At that summit, there was one position towards three conflicts and another toward the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict,” he said.

He noted that the EU now has a new global strategy, which clearly states that the territorial integrity and security of all partner countries should be supported.

Mammad-Guliyev went on to say that an agreement on aviation may also be signed within the framework of the summit.

"Maybe the aviation administration, which is our respective organization, can terminate the agreement with the EU. However, time is short. A meeting will be held on this issue at the end of October. After that, we will know whether we can sign this document at the summit or not,” he said.
